Erect shrub, striate with rich milky latex; leaves ovate or ovate lanceolate, acute-obtuse at apex, truncate-cuneate at base; stipules dark brown; cyathia obliquely zygomorphic, slipper shaped, in forked cymes, near the apex of leafy stems, nearly sessile, bracts shortly ciliate; involucres obliquely bilateral; terminal lobes slightly ciliate, greenish yellow at base, red above; spur red with four glands on upper side; pedicels of male and female flowers hairy. |
