An unusual soft-shell turtle; eyes are located very close to the snout; head small, narrow and elongated; snout is rounded. Shell of juveniles with numerous small tubercles and a vertebral keel; dorsum is dull-olive or bluish-grey, with a complicated pattern of wavy reticulations; carapace pattern continuing up to neck and outer surface of forelimbs; a ‘V’ shaped mark commences on nape and extends to carapace; plastron cream or pale-pink; head olive with dark-bordered, yellow streaks. Inhabits sandy sections of rivers.
Diet:
Feeds on fishes and mollusks.
