Diagnostic characters:

Body dorso-ventrally flattened; head comparatively large and set off from rest of the body. It is olive-brown or dark-brown in dorsal coloration, spotted profusely with brown and usually with a series of large, boat shaped dark-brown spots with light brown or pale centers on the complete back and tail. In the adult male, these markings of back and tail merge-out and giving the lizard somewhat brownish appearance. SVL: 400mm |
