Diagnostic characters:
Body flattened, tail widens strikingly behind the narrow base, without denticulate edge but has ventro-lateral row of irregular tubercles; head oval with a broad snout. Dorsum pale-grey at night to olive; by day with/without 5 dark irregularly undulated transverse bands; belly light-yellow. SVL: 120mm.
Habit and Habitat:
Nocturnal; arboreal, but can be seen during day time also. Inhabits in the buildings, most agile, and a marked climber
Diet:
Insectivorous and generally feeds on flies, bugs, mole cricket, beetles, termites, spiders and moths.

WL (P) A, 1972- None.
Conservation status and Threats:
Not accessed. Common. No serious threat observed.
Distribution:Madhya Pradesh: Throughout. Elsewhere in India: Throughout. Elsewhere outside: Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Southern China and Southeast Asia.
