Diagnostic characters:

Body stout, dorso-ventrally flattened, dorsal scales with 3-5 feeble keels; ventral scales smooth; 30-32 scales round the body. Dorsum brown, with 4 dark-brown longitudinal streaks; a pair of light or yellow lateral bands starts from eye to base of the tail; a broad chocolate brown band on the top. SVL: 100mm. |

Crepuscular; found in open forest near bushes, below rock boulders; prefers to stay near bushes. |
