Diagnostic characters:

Body long; thin and laterally flattened; head triangular and flat, much wider than the neck; very thin neck; eyes are large with vertical pupil; tail very long; scales are smooth. Body colour light-yellow or greyish-brown uniform or with darker zig-zag markings. |
Habit and Habitat: |
Nocturnal; terrestrial found on bushes, below rocks. At rest, it coils into a ball rather than stretching the entire body; spends day light hours in a cool place in thatched roofs or under the bark of trees. |
Diet: |
Lizards, Geckos, small birds and small mammals. |

Least Concern. Abundant. No serious threat observed. |
