Head slightly broader than neck; scale smooth, tail short and blunt with rounded tip, vertebral ridge prominent; Equally spaced, wide yellow/pale brown/white and black bands. SVL: 2200mm. |
Habit and Habitat: |
Nocturnal; alert and active at night; lives in termite mounds, rodent burrows close to water. |
Diet: |
Feeds mainly on snakes even other kraits, sometimes rodents, lizards and fishes are also taken. |
